Software engineer and frequent traveller. Building TripSage to close the gap between booking a hotel and arriving prepared.

About Damanjeet

Damanjeet Singh founded TripSage in 2026 to solve a specific problem he encountered repeatedly as a frequent traveller: there is a lot of help available for deciding where to go, but almost no structured intelligence for preparing to arrive at a hotel you've already booked.

Which rooms in the building are quietest? Which floors pick up noise from the street, the kitchen, the pool bar? What will the weather be on your exact dates — not a seasonal average, but a 14-day forecast? Where do you eat within a ten-minute walk, beyond the tourist-trap restaurant in the hotel lobby? How do you get from the airport to the hotel without the wrong taxi queue?

These questions have answers — they are just scattered across review sites, travel forums, property websites and weather APIs. TripSage collects and structures them into a free pre-arrival briefing for any hotel in its database.

Background

Damanjeet is a software engineer with experience building web infrastructure and data pipelines. TripSage runs on Astro 6 (SSR), Cloudflare Workers, and a D1 SQLite database — a stack chosen for speed, cost and global edge delivery. Hotel data is sourced from OpenStreetMap (ODbL licence), verified against each hotel's own official website, and enriched with ratings from the Google Place Details API.

AI generation (room intelligence, property narrative, dining notes) uses Anthropic's Claude — specifically Claude Haiku for its speed-to-quality balance. The hard principle: AI generates non-falsifiable soft intelligence only. Phone numbers, coordinates, star ratings and opening hours come from primary sources or are not shown at all. This is documented in the editorial policy.

Editorial responsibility

All content published on TripSage is produced under Damanjeet's editorial oversight. AI-generated content is reviewed for structural completeness and factual consistency against primary sources before it is served to users. The regeneration gates in TripSage's code are specifically designed to catch AI output that is missing required sections or that conflicts with primary-source data.

Correction requests go directly to mailtodaman@gmail.com and are investigated within 5 working days. See the full editorial policy for the data source breakdown and accuracy standards.
