Lake Lauerz (Lauerzersee)

Small lake south of Schwyz, surrounded by woodland and farmland. Has a free public lido (grass beach) and a 6km walking loop. Quiet, less touristy than Lake Lucerne.

💡 Take bus 523 from Schwyz station to 'Lauerz, Dorf' (10 mins, 2.50 CHF). The lido has free toilets and cold showers—no café, so bring snacks.
