Deeper Into Quan Ba
A mountain pass offering sweeping views of the Tam Son valley and the iconic twin mountains known as Fairy Bosom. The gate marks the start of the Dong Van Geopark.
🕐 Open 24 hours
💡 Go early morning before 8am to avoid tourist buses and catch the fog lifting off the peaks. The viewpoint is just past the gate on the right.
Two rounded limestone hills rising from rice paddies, shaped like a woman's breasts. They're the defining symbol of Quan Ba district.
🕐 Open 24 hours
💡 Best photographed from the road just south of Heaven Gate. For a closer look, follow the dirt path between the paddies—locals won't mind, just close gates behind you.

Final Favourites & Departure
A Hmong women's cooperative where you can watch traditional flax processing from fibre to dyed fabric. No entry fee, but donation or purchase expected.
💡 They sell scarves and fabric at fair prices—30,000-100,000 VND. Skip the rushed tour group demos; ask to watch individual women at work in the back rooms for the real process.

Getting Around Quan Ba
Book through Grab or a local driver in advance for fixed price; avoid touts at arrivals. The road from Ha Giang town to Quan Ba can be rough—ask for a driver used to mountain passes.
Agree on price before riding. This is faster than the local bus but you'll need a helmet and light jacket—the wind through the mountains gets cold even in summer. Drivers can drop you right at the homestay gate.
Book the lower bunk near the driver for less bumping on curves. Last bus around 22:00. From Ha Giang, catch a local bus (above) or hire a xe om (motorbike taxi) to Quan Ba for ~150,000 VND.
Buses leave when full; flag one down on the main road. The turn-off to Muong is near the market—tell the driver. Bring small change.
