Things to Do in Prachuap Khiri Khan

A clean stretch of sand running along the main road, with calm water and longtail boats. Plenty of shaded benches and a promenade for walking. The beach is quiet on weekdays.

A long, quiet beach inside a military base. Soft sand, shallow water, and sparse crowds. The base itself has a small air force museum and a few food stalls.

💡 Enter through the military checkpoint — show your passport (or a photocopy) and sign in; it's free. Best to go on a weekday when it's almost empty.

A narrow lane of original wooden shophouses still trading in dried fish, local sweets, and textiles. No touts, just everyday commerce. Smells heavily of fermented shrimp paste.

A steep but short limestone hill climb just north of town. Steps cut into the rock lead to a large hole in the peak that frames views of the bay. Expect a 20-minute climb with some exposed sections.
