Things to Do in Matosinhos

A traditional covered market selling fresh fish, fruit, vegetables, and local bread. The fish section alone is worth a wander – see what's landed that morning.

💡 Go at low tide to see the exposed rock pools and tide line sculptures. Morning walks are quieter before the wind picks up.

A small 18th-century manor house museum with period furniture, tiles, and a garden. Exhibits focus on local history and decorative arts.

The grounds of Serralves Museum include a large free-access park with lawns, woodlands, and a rose garden. The paid museum and villa are separate.

💡 Entrance to the park is free via the Rua de Serralves gate. Go early for a quiet walk – it gets busy with families after 11am.
