Deeper Into Lampang

Wat Phra Kaew Don Tao

A 15th-century temple that once housed the Emerald Buddha. The main chedi is in Burmese style, and the grounds contain a museum with Lanna artefacts.

Getting Around Lampang

Shared Minivan from Chiang Mai to Lampang From 120 THB 90 min

Cheapest and fastest link between the two cities. Minivans fill quick—arrive 20 minutes early. Drop-off at Lampang terminal, then a 50 THB songthaew (red truck) ride to Pin Hotel. Avoid if you have large luggage; space is tight.

Official airport taxi stand is just outside arrivals. No pre-booking needed—walk up and negotiate, but meters are rare so agree on fare first. Pin Hotel is only 5 km away.
