Deeper Into Kastamonu

Kastamonu Archaeological Museum

A small museum housing artefacts from the Bronze Age, Hittite, Roman and Byzantine periods. Highlights include a Roman mosaic and sarcophagi.

A protected forest with marked hiking trails, waterfalls and limestone caves. The closest entry point is a 10-minute minibus ride from the centre.

Getting Around Kastamonu

Local Dolmuş (Minibus) From 10 Turkish Lira 25 min

Look for dolmuş with 'İnebolu' or 'Cide' signs. You’ll need to wave them down near the hotel entrance – tell the driver 'Yakamoz Tatil Köyü' and they’ll stop right at the gate.

City Centre Taxi to Hotel From 100 Turkish Lira 20 min

Taxis at the otogar are usually more expensive. Walk a block away to the main road and flag one down for a better rate.

The shuttle drops you at the main bus station. From there, take a minibus (dolmuş) heading toward İnebolu and ask the driver to stop near Yakamoz Tatil Köyü.
