Getting Around Herne
Buy a SchönerTag NRW ticket (€30.90 for 1 person, covers all regional trains and trams in the state). The lodge is 5 minutes on foot from Herne station—exit towards Roonstraße.
Honestly, just walk the 400m unless it's raining. The bus runs Roonstraße direction but the stop 'Herne Mitte' (lines 311 or 323) drops you closer if you're coming from Wanne-Eickel.
The 306 runs every 10 minutes until 8pm then every 20. Get off at Floraweg and walk back on Roonstraße. A day ticket costs €6.80 and works on all BOGESTRA trams and buses in Herne.
Use Taxi-Herne (02323 50000). For Düsseldorf Airport you'll pay around €110 and it takes 50-60 minutes. Book 24 hours ahead for the best fixed rate.
