A small but pretty waterfall on the Banta River, about 5m high, with a natural pool for swimming. Surrounded by lush vegetation. Accessible via a short walk from the road.

Final Favourites & Departure
A roadside spot with clear views of the massive Tambora caldera. You can see the shape of the mountain and the scar from the 1815 eruption. No hiking required.
💡 Go just after sunrise for the clearest air, before clouds build up. A local guide may offer to take you closer for a small fee but the free viewpoint is good enough.

Getting Around Dompu
Don’t pay more than IDR 15,000 for a short trip inside Dompu. Drivers hang around the market or terminal; agree on the fare before getting on.
These are faster than buses and air-conditioned. Ask at the airport information desk or a travel agent in Bima for 'travel mobil ke Dompu'. They drop you near the main road—walk or ojek the last 500 metres to Rumah Penginapan PU.
Book through your hotel or a local driver for a fixed price—flagging one at arrival is unreliable. Roads wind through hills; ask for a driver who knows the short cut via Sila.
Buses stop frequently to pick up locals—get ready for a bumpy, hot ride. Sit on the left side for mountain views. From Dompu terminal, take an ojek (motorbike taxi, IDR 10,000) to Rumah Penginapan PU.
