Mosquée de Sidi Boumediene

16th-century mosque and mausoleum of a famous Sufi scholar. Simple whitewashed building with a courtyard and minaret.

Large botanical garden in Algiers, but cheap entry (around 50 DZD). Has European and tropical sections, a small zoo.

Getting Around Blida

SNTF coach to Blida From 120 DZD 60 min

For the Auberge, get off at the 'Cité des 1000 Logements' stop on the main road, then walk east 10 mins. The bus can be crowded at peak times.

Airport taxi From 2500 DZD 45 min

Agree the fare before getting in. Official taxis from the airport are white with yellow stripes. You can also use the Yassir app for a slightly lower price.

Blida Tramway From 40 DZD 25 min

The tram is useful if you stay near Boufarik or want to avoid Blida's centre traffic. From Place des Martyrs, the Auberge is a 5-minute walk east. Buy a rechargeable card at any stop.

SNTF suburban rail From 90 DZD 35 min

This is the quickest public option. From Blida station, the Auberge is a 15-minute walk northwest along Rue de la République. Trains are air-conditioned and punctual.
