Getting Around Zebbug
These buses run through tight Zebbug streets, so check real-time app (Tallinja). For Valletta, 301 is quicker; for Sliema or St Julian's, change at Valletta. Day ticket works on all buses — useful if you also visit Mdina (route 51).
Buy a Tallinja card at airport machines for €15 (includes 12 rides) — cheaper than singles. The bus stops 150m from the guesthouse on Triq il-Kbira; alight at 'Semaforu' stop. Buses can be crowded in peak, so avoid weekday 8-9am.
Book through eCabs or Bolt app for fixed pricing; avoid unlicensed drivers at arrivals. The drive takes Zebbug's narrow streets — ask to be dropped at the main square (Pjazza San Filippu) if the driver is unsure of the guesthouse address.
Bolt generally cheaper than eCabs for short hops; pay by card in-app. No cash needed. For Mdina (2 km away), it's about €6 and saves 20 min walk on rural roads without pavements.
