Getting Around Witten

Taxi Witten & Airport Transfer From €120 45 min

Pre-book with a Witten-based company like Taxi Witten GmbH to avoid airport surcharges. Flat rates to Höpfner should be around €100–120.

Deutsche Bahn Regional From €15 80 min

Buy a SchönerTagTicket NRW if you're travelling beyond Witten the same day. The S-Bahn S5 from Dortmund also runs directly but takes 10 mins longer.

Bus 371/372 From €2.80 15 min

Alight at 'Herbeder Straße' then walk 300m north. The Höpfner flat is the beige house with a green gate – no street number, but locals know it as 'Höpfner'. Save €2 by buying a single ticket from the driver, exact change needed.

Straßenbahn Linie 310 From €2.80 25 min

Only useful if you're near Annen. The tram doesn't go to Höpfner directly – you'll need the bus transfer. Not worth it for just getting to the flat, but handy for Ruhr area day trips from Witten Hbf.

Tram 310 (BOGESTRA) From €2.80 (single ticket) 10 min

If you’re light on luggage, tram 310 to Heven Dorf is faster than bus 371. From there it’s a pleasant 15-minute walk along the Ruhr riverbank to the apartment.

Bus 371 + RE4 From €3.40 (single ticket) 20 min

Bus 371 is the only direct route; alight at 'Höfeweg' instead of 'Witten-Heven' for a shorter walk.
