Tip: Visit on a Saturday morning to see the fishermen bring in their catch and buy fresh tilapia straight from the boats. Keep your camera in a plastic bag - sand and spray are constant.

Tip: Pick up the paper map at the Tourism Office (beside the post office) – it lists 12 numbered points of interest with short explanations. Start at 7:30 am to beat the heat and see the fish market at its busiest.

Small community theatre staging plays and performances in Fante and English, often about local history and social issues. Weeknight show costs 10 cedis.

Tip: Check their Facebook page for the monthly 'Open Mic Friday' – local musicians, poets, and comedians perform for a donation of 3-5 cedis. Bring a cushion: the benches are hard.
