Things to Do in Ulten - Ultimo

A 14th-century Gothic church with a stark white exterior and well-preserved frescoes inside. The bell tower stands out against the valley landscape.

A small exhibition in a working farmhouse showing traditional dairy and speck curing methods. See the old stone press and smoke room. No entrance fee, but donations welcome.

A natural rock terrace above the valley floor with panoramic views over the Ulten Valley and the Ortler Alps. Reached via a short, steep track from the main road.

💡 Come at sunset for the best colour on the peaks. Bring a torch for the descent – the path is unlit and can be slippery with gravel.

A 3km round-trip walk along a forest track to a 50-metre waterfall. Mostly gentle incline, suitable for families. The spray keeps the path cool in summer.

💡 Take insect repellent in late spring; the damp attracts midges. Best light for photos is early afternoon when the sun hits the falls.

A small alpine lake about 30 minutes' walk from the nearest bus stop. Surrounded by pine forest and meadows. Good for a picnic or a quick dip in summer.
