Things to Do in Tivat

A small 19th-century Catholic church in the old town centre. Simple stone exterior, modest interior with wooden pews and a painted altar. Restored in the 1990s.

💡 Step inside for 5 minutes to see the contrast with the flashy marina. If it's locked, check the door handle — it's often open in summer. No photography during services.

Small shaded garden with Mediterranean plants, a fountain and benches. Part of a former aristocratic villa estate. Good for a quiet break from heat.

A modern yacht marina with a long promenade, high-end shops and cafes. Free to walk around and watch superyachts. Clean, well-maintained public space.

💡 Visit at sunset; the light on the Bay of Kotor is striking. Grab a takeaway coffee from a local bakery before you go to avoid marina prices.

A sandy beach on Tivat's Luštica peninsula, about 6 km from town. Clear water, shallow bay. Free access, but sunbeds and umbrella rentals cost extra. Popular with locals.

💡 Come early (before 9 am) on summer weekends to find parking and a spot on the sand. Bring your own towel and snorkelling mask — the water clarity is excellent near the rocks.
