Main road running along the water, lined with old Dutch warehouses and harbour views. A good place for a stroll at sunset, with street food carts selling pisang goreng and satay.

💡 The pedestrian area near the port fills with families around 17:00. Grab a fried banana from Ibu Rina’s cart, second from the corner—she’s been there 20 years.

A 16th-century Portuguese fort overlooking the sea, with well-preserved walls and cannons. Small but atmospheric, with views of Tidore island.

💡 Go early morning to avoid the midday heat. The caretaker sometimes unlocks the upper platform for a better view—ask politely.

Spanish fort from the 1600s, now partly restored. Quiet site with a grassy courtyard and sweeping sea views. Often empty of tourists.

💡 Combine with a walk down to the fishing beach just below. Watch boats drag nets in the late afternoon.

Small local museum in a colonial building. Displays include Moluccan textiles, traditional boats, and volcanic rock samples from Mount Gamalama.
