Getting Around Sukhothai
Flag one down on the main road (Charodwithithong) by pointing east. They stop anywhere – just shout 'bòrk' near the park gate. Return drivers are scarce after 5PM.
Book through the hotel for 300 THB, or haggle with metered taxis outside arrivals. There's no official taxi queue – drivers often wait near the terminal exit.
The orange songthaew from airport to Thani bus station costs 30 THB per person, then a tuk-tuk to Garden House for 20 THB. Less convenient but half the taxi price.
Garden House rents bikes for 50 THB, but check the brakes – the road is flat but potholed. Take the parallel riverside path for less traffic and shade from tamarind trees.
