Getting Around Sokcho
Bus routes 1, 7, and 7-1 pass near the guesthouse. Get off at 'Jungang-ro Market' stop, then walk two blocks north. But honestly, it's a 10-minute walk – skip the bus unless you've got heavy luggage.
The Gangnam terminal buses drop you off just 10 minutes' walk from Story Guesthouse – exit the terminal, head east on Jungang-ro, and you're there. Book seats online via TxBus or Kobus to guarantee a spot on weekends.
At Gangneung Station, exit and take bus 1, 10, or 30 (₩1,200) to Sokcho Bus Terminal – it's about 50 minutes. This route is faster than the express bus if you're leaving central Seoul and want a smoother ride.
This is the only direct airport transfer. Get off at Sokcho Bus Terminal, then it's a short walk or a ₩3,000 taxi to the guesthouse. Bring cash for the ticket – the driver can't take card.
