💡 Go at sunset. The lighthouse keepers sometimes let you climb the tower for a tip of 10 cedis. Watch your step on the loose stones near the wall.
Working fishing beach where crews repair nets and launch pirogues. Colourful boats lined up on sand. Swimming not advised due to undertow.

Getting Around Sekondi
Tro-tros stop anywhere along the route—wave one down heading towards the hospital roundabout. Hand your fare to the mate (conductor) not the driver.
Look for a taxi with passengers already inside—ask the driver 'drop?' You pay only your share of the route. To get a private ride, say 'charter' and expect 15-20 GHS.
Negotiate the fare before you get in; 50 GHS is standard for this ride. Book through the hotel reception if you want a fixed price.
Call the hotel at least a day ahead to book their driver. They charge a bit extra but it avoids haggling and they'll wait if your flight is delayed.
