Getting Around Sambava
This is the cheapest option, but the bus runs past the hotel junction, not to the door. Walk 10 mins down the dirt track. Buses are often packed — you might stand if it's full. Carry small change.
Best to hire one through the hotel reception or a local guide. Most private taxis are old sedans or 4WDs — check the tyres and agree on a return time if you need it later. Bargain hard.
