Expansive gardens with a zoo, formal gardens, and a rainforest walk. The zoo has native animals like koalas and crocodiles.

💡 Go early morning to see the zoo animals active. The free guided walk at 10am on Wednesdays is excellent.

Bushwalking trails and a lookout with panoramic views of Rockhampton and the Fitzroy River. Picnic facilities and a sealed road to the top.

💡 Drive up for sunset for the best light. The Red Hill walking track (3 km return) is a good short hike with wildflowers in spring.

Outdoor museum with restored buildings from the 1860s-1940s, including a blacksmith shop, schoolhouse, and railway station. Entry is cheap.

💡 Open only Sunday 10am-4pm. Entry is $10 adult, $5 child. The blacksmith demo at 11am is fantastic. Combine with a drive to the nearby Mount Morgan lookout.
