Public park with over 15,000 rose bushes on terraced slopes behind the castle. The fragrance is strongest in June and July. Panoramic benches face the lake.

Flat, paved path along the lakeshore from the harbour to the wooden bridge. Benches, swans, and clear views of the mountains across the lake. Good for a short walk or jog.

💡 Walk the 841-metre wooden bridge across to Hurden – it’s the longest wooden footbridge in Switzerland and free. The view back at the castle from the middle is worth the walk.

The small museum inside Rapperswil Castle costs CHF 8, but you can step into the castle's inner courtyard and the adjoining Polish Church for free. The church has a striking 20th-century mosaic and a memorial to the Polish-Swiss connection.
