Getting Around Quepos
No need to wait—the hostel is a 200-metre walk from the terminal. If you have heavy bags, walk straight down Avenida Central and you’ll see the hostel sign on your right.
Use only official red taxis with yellow triangles from the airport rank. Ask for a fixed price before getting in (around $120–$130). Ride takes 2 hours via Route 27 and Costanera—smooth road but dark after sundown.
Catch the bus from the airport’s main bus stop (outside arrivals, left side). Get off at Quepos terminal, then walk 2 minutes east to the hostel. Buses are basic but cheap—buy ticket on board, exact change preferred.
Flag any red taxi on the street—it’s a 3 km ride. Bargain to 5000 colones (about $10) for the trip. For a cheaper option, walk 10 minutes uphill to the park gate (steep but doable).
