Getting Around Providenciales
These are shared vans that run fixed routes. Flag one down on Leeward Highway. Pay the driver cash. They’re cheaper than private taxis but slower during school runs.
The minibus is a converted van with no marked stops. Stand by the road and wave it down. Tell the driver where you’re going. No change given – bring exact $3.
Taxis queue outside arrivals. Fares are fixed per ride, not per person. Confirm the price before you get in. No app needed, but carry small US bills.
Not a tram – these are electric golf carts rented by the day. Perfect for short errands. Rent from providers near the hotel (look for Island Cart Rentals). Drive on left. No licence required if over 21, but wear seat belts.
