Winding sandy lanes with traditional mud-brick houses and granaries. Some houses have painted facades. Walk from the mosque northwards.

A striking mud-brick mosque with tall minarets, typical of Sahelian architecture. Active place of worship, so visitors should dress modestly and ask permission before entering.

A large artificial lake about 6 km north of town, created in the 1970s. Popular for walking, birdwatching, and picnics. Dry season reveals hippo pools.
