Weekend in Mek'ele

A sprawling outdoor market where locals buy and sell spices, textiles, handwoven baskets, and livestock. It's chaotic and authentic, with pungent smells and loud bartering.

A modern Orthodox church built on a hilltop, known for its claim to house the Ark of the Covenant's replica. The exterior is painted with vivid murals depicting biblical scenes.
