Getting Around Magelang
Use Grab app for fixed pricing. For early morning trips to Borobudur from the guesthouse, book a GrabBike for 20,000 IDR – faster through traffic.
Book a fixed-rate taxi at the airport counter to avoid haggling. The drive takes you through scenic hills, so ask to stop at Kopeng for a coffee break.
Get off at Tidar Terminal, then take an ojek (motorcycle taxi) for 15,000 IDR to Joglo Guesthouse. The bus is cramped with luggage, so pack light.
This is the cheapest option but Kedungjati Station is 12 km from Magelang centre. Take a local angkot (minibus) for 5000 IDR to Joglo. Avoid if you have heavy luggage.
