A small museum in a restored 17th-century manor house. Exhibits cover local agricultural and domestic life, including a traditional sugar mill. Modest but genuine.

Airport Taxi Machico From €25 15 min

Pre-book with a local driver for fixed rates; avoid unlicensed touts. The ride takes less than 15 minutes on the via rápida.

SAM Local Bus (route 113 or 114) From €4 40 min

Sit on the left side for coastal views over the ocean. The bus can get packed at school hours – avoid 08:00–09:00 and 16:00–17:00.

Aerobus (SAM bus route 20) From €5 20 min

Buy a Giro card at the airport kiosk to avoid cash hassles. The bus goes through the tunnel direct to Machico town centre.
