Getting Around Lugano

SBB CFF FFS Regional Train From 2.50 CHF 5 min

Not useful from airport – you'd need the bus first. From town, ride one stop to Paradiso, then walk 8 minutes uphill. The hotel cable car (Funicolare Cassarate) is a better trick if you're lugging suitcases.

TPL Bus No. 1 From 2.50 CHF 12 min

This bus goes downhill from the station to the hotel area. Buy a day pass (7.50 CHF) if you're exploring – it covers this route and the funicular. Ask the driver for the stop; it's easy to miss.

Lugano Taxi From 25 CHF 10 min

Flag one at the rank outside arrivals. For 30-35 CHF, they'll take you direct – agree on price before setting off if it's late.

Autopostale Bus No. 2 From 3 CHF 15 min

Buy a single ticket from the machine outside arrivals – exact change needed. The bus drops you a 3-minute walk from the hotel, uphill, so pack light.
