Things to Do in les Escaldes

A modest 20th-century church with a simple Romanesque-style exterior. Inside, clean lines and a peaceful atmosphere. Not a major tourist site, but worth a quick visit.

The striking glass pyramid of the Caldea thermal spa is free to view from the outside. The adjacent public gardens along the Valira River offer benches and walking paths with views of the building.

💡 Go at dusk when the pyramid is lit up. The reflection in the river makes for a good photo without paying the entry fee.

A small, quiet park with a playground, picnic tables, and a shaded area. Good for a rest after shopping. Has a small stream running through it.

A medieval stone bridge spanning the Valira River, built in the 14th century. One of the oldest surviving bridges in Andorra. It's a short walk or bus ride from the centre.

💡 Combine with a walk along the river path from the Pont de la Margineda to the town centre. Takes about 20 minutes and passes some old stone houses.

A 12th-century Romanesque church perched on a hill above Engolasters lake. Free to enter the church building (donation box). The lake and surrounding forest are also free to explore.

💡 Take bus L4 from the centre to 'Engolasters' stop. Walk 10 minutes uphill. Arrive before noon to avoid tour groups.
