Things to Do in Kruje

Medieval fortress on a hilltop with sweeping views of the Adriatic. Walk the restored walls, see the cannon, and explore the grounds. The castle includes the Skanderbeg Museum (paid entry) but the castle itself is free.

Steep cobbled street leading from the castle downhill, lined with 16th-century-style stone shops. Vendors sell handmade carpets, copperware, and antiques. No entry fee to browse.

Museum inside the castle dedicated to Albania's national hero. Houses artifacts, armour, and detailed exhibits on the 15th-century resistance against the Ottomans. Entry fee is about 500 lek (€5).
