Things to Do in Kegalle

A bustling open-air market in the centre of Kegalle, selling local produce, spices, textiles and souvenirs. Great for watching daily life and picking up cheap fruit and snacks.

A 17th-century Buddhist cave temple with drip-ledged rock overhangs and well-preserved murals depicting Jataka tales. The cave complex has three chambers with seated Buddha statues.
