Getting Around Kastoria
The bus runs a loop around the lake — get off at 'Limni' stop, then walk 200 m north along the waterfront. Validate your ticket on board; fines for forgetting are €10.
Book with Kastoria Taxi (K.T.E.L.) or a driver named Nikos — he'll meet you at arrivals and know the exact apartment entrance on the lakeside street. Cash only, or ask if they accept card.
From the bus station, take a local taxi (€5, 5 min) to the apartment — skip walking the steep hill with luggage. Buy your Thessaloniki–Kastoria ticket online a day ahead in summer.
They expect cash — have €5 ready. If the driver quotes €7, insist on the meter. Most speak basic English.
