Getting Around Joensuu
Pre-book by calling +358 100 6070 or use the app; flagging one down at the airport can be slower than ordering. Fixed price for airport runs about €25.
Buy ticket via the Waltti app before boarding – no cash accepted on bus. Get off at 'Rantakatu' stop, then walk 5 mins north to the hostel.
Take line 1 towards 'Niinivaara' and get off at 'Yliopistonkatu' – from there, the hostel is a 3-min walk east along the lake. Validate your ticket onboard.
Short trip – walking takes 20 mins along the lake path, but if you have luggage, the taxi stand at the station is right outside the main entrance. No need to pre-book.
