Day 1

Arrive & Explore the Highlights

Morning
Al-Balad (Historic Jeddah)

The old city centre with coral-stone buildings, traditional souks, and winding alleys. No entry fee for the district; some specific buildings or museums may charge.

🕐 24 hours; shops and individual sites open roughly 9am–1pm and 5pm–10pm

Free entry

💡 Visit late afternoon to avoid the heat and stay for sunset. The light on the architecture is impressive, and the street food stalls start opening then.

🕐 24 hours (fountain operates); lights on after sunset until midnight

Free entry

💡 Go at night when coloured lights illuminate the water. The show is most dramatic on calm evenings – strong winds reduce the height. Free street parking nearby.
