Getting Around Iż-Żebbuġ
These routes go through Ħamrun traffic, so add 10 mins in rush hour. Sit on the left for harbour views. Validate your card immediately—inspectors fine €50 if you forget.
Get a Tallinja card from the airport's public transport office for €15 (7-day unlimited). The bus goes via Birkirkara, so avoid peak hours (8-9am, 5-6pm) when it's crush-loaded.
Book via eCabs or Bolt app for fixed rates, avoid unmarked drivers at arrivals. The ride is straight through Ħal Far and then up Route 7.
Cheaper than a standard taxi for short hops. Use Bolt—it's more reliable on the island. For buses to Mdina or Gozo ferry, get off at Blata l-Bajda stop to save a few euro.
