Things to Do in Ito

A row of free public foot baths along the main street, fed by natural hot springs. A simple, soothing stop after exploring the town.

💡 Bring a small towel to dry your feet. The busiest baths are near the station—walk a block east for quieter ones.

A small but peaceful wetland reserve with boardwalks, bamboo groves, and a bird hide. Good for spotting herons and kingfishers.

💡 Take the path behind the bamboo grove to a quiet viewpoint over the marsh—most people miss it.

A botanical-garden-meets-zoo with capybaras, flamingos, and a walk-through aviary. The famous hot spring-dipping capybaras are a winter highlight.

💡 Visit on a weekday to avoid queues for the capybara bath show—it happens at 10:30am and 2:30pm.
