Koules Fortress

Venetian fortress at the harbour entrance with thick walls, cannon platforms and a small museum inside. Great views over the old port.

💡 There's no charge to walk around the outside and take photos from the harbour wall. Inside is cheap (€4) and worth it for the sea breeze.

Bus stop is 100m outside arrivals. Buy ticket at kiosk or onboard. Get off at 'Plateia Eleftherias' then walk 5 mins east.

City Bus to City Centre From €1.20 10 min

Lines 2, 3, and 6 all pass near the hotel. Get a prepaid card from the main bus station for 10 rides at €1 even.

Heraklion Airport Taxi From €15-25 15 min
