A colonial-era Catholic cathedral near the waterfront, built in the 19th century. Simple whitewashed exterior, peaceful interior with wooden pews and stained glass.

💡 The guide (usually Senhor João) gives a 30-minute tour in Portuguese or English. Ask to see the courtyard with old dhows.

A tidal lagoon with mangroves and birdlife. Walking path along the eastern shore gives views of flamingos and herons at low tide. No facilities.

🕐 Always open, but best visited sunrise to sunset

💡 Bring binoculars. The best birdwatching is two hours after high tide. Locals sometimes sell fresh oysters from the mangroves.

A long sandy beach with consistent waves, popular with local surfers. Lifeguards on weekends. No shade, so bring an umbrella.

💡 Walk south past the rocks to a quieter cove at low tide. Street vendors sell grilled prawns and cold drinks for 50 MZN.
