Solar do Cacau Museum

A small museum inside a restored 19th-century cocoa baron's mansion. Displays on Ilhéus' cacao boom, with old machinery, photographs and tools. Entry is free on Sundays.

A city beach with dark sand, calm waters and a long promenade. Lined with coconut stalls and bench seating. Good for a walk or a swim without crowds.
