Getting Around Hugli

Local EMU train from Howrah Junction From ₹10 40 min

Take a Howrah–Barddhaman chord line train and get off at Hugli station. From there, walk 10 minutes south or take a shared auto (₹5) to Radha Housing. Skip the main line trains — they don’t stop at Hugli.

WBSTC or private bus via Grand Trunk Road From ₹30 75 min

Look for buses marked 'Chinsurah' or 'Bandel'. Ask the conductor to drop you at 'Hugli Chati' — it’s a 3-minute walk from Radha Housing. Avoid rush hour (08:00–10:00 and 17:00–19:00) when GT Road jams up.

App-based cab (Uber/Ola) From ₹500 50 min

Book an 'Uber Go' or 'Ola Mini' — not cabs billed as AC sedans, they’re often the same vehicle. For Radha Housing, set the pin to 'Radha Housing Co-operative, GT Road, Hugli' to avoid drivers dropping you off at some other Radha building.

Prepaid Taxi from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) From ₹800 60 min

Prepaid counters are inside the arrival terminal. For Radha Housing, tell the driver to take the Kona Expressway — it's faster than the Grand Trunk Road during daytime.
