🕐 9:30 AM - 7:30 PM (closed on Mondays)

Free entry

💡 Climb to the roof for a good panorama of Haridwar. The temple is off the main tourist track, so it's quiet early morning. Donations welcome but not pressured.

Day 2

Deeper Into Haridwar

Morning
Mansa Devi Temple

Hilltop temple dedicated to goddess Mansa. Accessible by cable car (paid) or a steep 3km walk. Offers sweeping views of Haridwar and the Ganges.

🕐 5:00 AM - 9:30 PM (ropeway operates 7:30 AM - 6:30 PM)

💡 Walking is free but tough in summer heat. Take the ropeway (₹100 return) for the view, not the queue—arrive before 8am to avoid a 30-minute wait.

Midday
Sapta Rishi Ashram & Ghat

A quiet, forested stretch of the Ganges bank where seven sages once meditated. Small hermitages, shaded paths, and a serene ghat for sitting or wading.

🕐 Sunrise to sunset (open daily)

💡 Take a shared auto from Har Ki Pauri (₹50). Pack a picnic—there is one chai stall. Best visited in early morning for solitude. No loud music allowed.

Day 3

Final Favourites & Departure

Morning
Chandi Devi Temple

A peaceful, older temple perched on Neel Parvat. Accessed by a 2.5km hike or cable car. Less crowded than Mansa Devi.

💡 The 90-minute walk is shaded and offers good river views. Carry water. The ropeway (₹100 one way) is shorter but still scenic. Avoid after dark.
