Getting Around Goaso
This is the slow but cheapest option – a full-size bus on a bumpy road. Take the morning bus (7 or 8 am) to avoid heat. From Goaso station, walk 10 mins or take a shared taxi to the college.
From Kumasi, negotiate a flat rate with a driver at the taxi rank outside arrivals. The 2.5-hour drive goes via Techiman – ask the driver to stop at the Goaso Junction if you're light on luggage. From Accra, it's a solid 6 hours; consider flying into Kumasi instead.
Hail a yellow shared taxi going toward 'Training College' direction. If you want a private ride, add 'obiako' (one-person fare) – expect about GHS 20. The college has no official signpost from the main road, so tell the driver 'Nursing Training'.
Buy the Kumasi–Sunyani ticket at the desk, not from touts. At Sunyani station, board a yellow shared taxi (called 'dropsy') heading toward Goaso – they leave when full. Carry small notes for the dropsy fare.
