Old Dubbo Gaol

Restored 1840s prison with original cells, gallows and grim artefacts. Audio guide included in the low entry fee. The tour is self-guided and fairly quick – about 45 minutes.

💡 Visit on a weekday to avoid school groups. The entry is under $15 for adults and includes a solid chunk of local convict history.

Old Dubbo Gaol

Routes 510 or 540 both stop opposite the motel on Mitchell Highway. Buy a day pass for AU$7 if making multiple trips.

Orana Buses Route 501 From 4 AUD 35 min

Get off at Mitchell St near the motel entrance, not the station. Ask the driver to call it out.
