Request a room on a high floor for better views and less street noise. Corner rooms are often larger and quieter, with more windows. Suites facing the inner courtyard, if available, offer a peaceful retreat.
Request a room on floors 5 or 6, facing the airport apron rather than the street. These upper floors offer better soundproofing and a view over the tarmac — interesting but not intrusive. Rooms ending in odd numbers (e.g., 501, 503) face east, catching morning light without the heat.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid rooms directly above the lobby, restaurant, or bar – these can get noise from late-night service. Rooms next to lifts or service doors are also prone to clattering. Steer clear of low floors near the main road for traffic hum.
Avoid rooms on floor 1 or 2 at the front of the building. The hotel sits on Unterschweinstiege, a main access road to the airport terminals, so lower front-facing rooms get traffic rumble from 5am onward. Also skip rooms directly next to the lift banks on any floor — the lifts serve all guest floors and can be noisy.
