Best rooms
Request a room on the third or fourth floor facing the interior courtyard (if available). These upper floors reduce street noise from Jirón Cusco, a narrow but busy central street, and the courtyard side is quieter than the front. The 3-star rating suggests limited soundproofing, so height helps.
Rooms at the back of the hotel, facing the interior courtyard. The Sancos is a converted colonial house on a narrow street, so these rooms avoid market noise.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid ground-floor rooms (rooms 101–110 likely) – they get direct street noise from Jirón Cusco (mototaxis, vendors, early morning traffic) and passers-by peering in. Also avoid any room directly above the reception/lobby area (first floor front) – lobby chatter and bell noise carry up.
Front-facing rooms on the second floor. Ayacucho's main market is two blocks away, and the street gets busy with mototaxis and vendors from 6am.
Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi throughout. Speed is adequate for browsing and video calls but can be slow during peak evening hours (19:00–22:00). No login: select the network, accept terms.
Free WiFi throughout, download speed ~15 Mbps, login via room number and surname; no paid tiers

No on-site parking. The nearest public car park is 'Estacionamiento Plaza Mayor' at Jr. 28 de Julio 150, PEN 15 per overnight 18:00–08:00, or PEN 5 per hour. No EV charging.
