Best rooms
Request a room on floors 5–8 facing the internal courtyard. These are quieter than street-facing rooms and often have more natural light. The Hoxton’s Williamsburg property uses an industrial loft layout, so higher floors avoid bar noise from the ground floor lobby and restaurant.
Request a room on the 6th floor or above facing the back courtyard – these have double-glazed windows and a buffer from street noise. The odd-numbered rooms at the rear of the building are quieter.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid any room ending in '01' or '02' on floors 2–4; these are directly above the bar and restaurant, with muffled music until midnight on weekends. Also skip rooms facing Wythe Avenue or North 10th Street—truck traffic and delivery noise starts around 6 a.m.
Rooms ending in 01 through 10 on floors 2 to 4 face the front, directly over the Van Wyck Expressway or JFK access roads. These get constant traffic rumble and jet noise. Also skip room 101, 102, and 103 – they sit above the lobby bar.
