Best rooms
Request a room on floors 5–8 facing the internal courtyard. These are quieter than street-facing rooms and often have more natural light. The Hoxton’s Williamsburg property uses an industrial loft layout, so higher floors avoid bar noise from the ground floor lobby and restaurant.
Ask for an interior-facing room with a window onto the courtyard or lightwell. The rooms on the 6th to 10th floors in the rear wing (even-numbered rooms ending in 02–09) get the least street noise and some morning light.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid any room ending in '01' or '02' on floors 2–4; these are directly above the bar and restaurant, with muffled music until midnight on weekends. Also skip rooms facing Wythe Avenue or North 10th Street—truck traffic and delivery noise starts around 6 a.m.
Steer clear of rooms ending in 14–22, which are next to the lift shaft and housekeeping alcove. Also avoid ground-floor rooms and rooms on floors 2–3 – they pick up the full blast of lobby traffic and the occasional street disturbance.
