Best rooms

Request a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor facing the inner courtyard (south side). These floors are above ground-level noise but not under the roof where summer heat can be an issue. The courtyard side is quieter than Westerstraße.

Request a room on the upper floors (3rd or 4th) facing away from Alessandro-Volta-Straße, ideally at the rear of the building. These rooms will be quieter and have a better outlook over the surrounding area rather than the street.

Rooms to avoid

Avoid any room facing Westerstraße, especially on the 1st floor (street level). This is a residential street but can have pedestrian and light traffic noise. Also skip rooms directly next to the lift shaft or service stairwell — likely near the east end of the building.

Avoid ground-floor rooms and any rooms facing the street (Alessandro-Volta-Straße). Ground floor may suffer from noise from the reception/entrance area, and street-facing rooms will pick up traffic sound from this main road.
