Best rooms
Request an overwater villa on the seaward side of the jetty south-west of the spa. These face the open ocean with no neighbouring island views and catch the sunset. Use the 3D resort map on the booking site to note the villa number pattern - aim for ones further from the main walkway junction near the spa for the least foot traffic.
Request rooms above floor 3 on the side facing the internal courtyard (away from Ameer Ahmed Magu). These get less street noise and more natural light than lower floors.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid overwater villas closest to the main reception and spa cluster - they're near the water activities centre and restaurant kitchen exhaust. Also skip the two beach villas directly opposite the speedboat jetty; you'll hear arrivals and departures from 7am.
Skip rooms on floors 1 and 2 facing the main road. The street noise from vehicles delivering goods and moped traffic is loud, especially early morning. Avoid rooms directly next to the lift shaft on any floor (the single lift can be audible).
